Third Generation Painters: family run exterior and interior painting in the North Okanagan
Third Generation Painters is a family run residential painting company based near Vernon, BC, handling exterior repaints, interior painting, cabinet refinishing, and wood staining across the North Okanagan.
About Third Generation Painters
Third Generation Painters was founded by Brook Nullmeyer, who learned the painting trade as a child working summers with his grandfather and father before starting his own crew. His grandfather ran Nullmeyer Painting & Decorating from 1977, and his father later launched Keen & Kleen Student Painters in Barrie, Ontario in 1986, giving Brook a family painting lineage going back three generations. After business school and five years in Toronto sales and marketing, Brook started the current company in Thornbury, Ontario in the summer of 2020, then relocated operations to the Okanagan Valley in January 2023. The company now focuses on homes around Vernon, Coldstream, SilverStar, Okanagan Landing, and Enderby, where dry summer heat, sun exposure, and mountain weather put real demands on exterior finishes, and it currently runs two teams of two to three painters. More on that history is on the company’s about page.

Services
The company’s work includes exterior painting in Vernon on Hardie plank, stucco, cedar, and wood siding, along with interior painting in Vernon, cabinet refinishing in Vernon, stain work, and wood restoration. Projects are done exclusively with Benjamin Moore products, from the UV-resistant Aura line on sun-exposed exteriors to hard-wearing cabinet coatings for kitchen refinishing jobs, and clients receive a contractor discount of roughly 20 to 30 percent through the company’s supplier partnership with North Okanagan Paint and Window Coverings. Prep work includes pressure washing, scraping, caulking, sanding, and priming before any paint goes on. A full rundown of each service is on the company’s services page, and homeowners ready to move forward can request a free estimate through the booking page. Third Generation Painters is WorkSafeBC registered, working at heights certified, and carries five million dollars in liability insurance.
